Hello,
Welcome to my page!
I suppose you are here to learn a little bit about me and my business?
I moved to the UK with my mother when I was 3, but both my parents are Danish, and I travel home at least four or five times a year to spend time with my family. I speak the language fluently but being bought up in the UK means I struggle to read and write it sometimes!
Now, my wonderful granddad taught me so much throughout the years of the do’s and dont’s of baking, we used to have so much fun creating cakes together. Sadly, he passed away in 2016, and being a very close family as most Danes are, I miss him dearly. I truly believe his love of fresh cakes, pastries and chocolate was passed on to me from him.
I think baking is what brings me the most joy in life, not because I can eat it all after; obviously that is a bonus...but I do it because of the smiles, satisfaction and pure joy it brings people to taste my food!
The picture to the right is of my great grandparents in front of the bakery they owned “Brodersens Konditori” and therein lies the idea for my business, keeping the family name makes me feel a warmth inside and closer to home.
Although my bakes may not all be traditional and fancy, the products I make are full of flavour, leaving you always wanting more.
I currently work in HR and have a BA in Business Management, I am also working towards my CIPD Level 3 Qualification. I hope to open up my own Bakery within the next few years and look forward to using my ever growing skills and knowledge to develop a successful business.
